Hispanic Heritage Month: Matchbox Nichos

AAD Library 4-5pm, Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making a matchbox nicho—small, colorful boxes that honor loved ones or display religious images originating in Latin America. For adults. Nichos blend early Spanish influences with Indigenous and mestizo designs. Though used year-round, they’re especially popular during Día de los Muertos. This activity explores this tradition by creating mini nichos with empty matchboxes. Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
