Gather around the campfire as we celebrate the love\, care\, wisdom\, and stories of fathers and figures across generations and cultures.  Enjoy a cozy evening of community\, fun\, reflection\, music\, storytelling\, crafts\, animal meet & greets\, and the beauty of the natural landscape at sunset. \nBring a camp chair and picnic (or instrument if you want to share a song!) and spend an unforgettable evening surrounded by the iconic rocks of the ancestral village of Mapipinga. SUMMARY:Twilight Hike
DESCRIPTION:Vasquez Rocks Natural Area 7:30-9pm – Explore Vasquez Rocks during the magical twilight and early evening full moon hours! These fun\, collaborative\, interpretive hikes are led by trained staff and volunteers and will highlight the park’s amazing natural and human histories. Themes will vary and include Vasquez Rocks history\, geology\, cultural history\, plants and animals. All ages are welcome: trails are not currently stroller-accessible. \n  \nThis 90-minute program is weather-dependent\, start times are based on dusk/nightfall. Registrants will receive updates and information via email. Dress in layers\, bring water to drink\, wear sturdy shoes for uneven ground surfaces\, and bring a flashlight. No alcohol or smoking permitted. This program is free but spaces are limited. Pre-registration online is required for each person attending. A parent or guardian is required to stay with minors at all times. Attend one hike or many! A parking and program map will be provided to registered participants. Enrollment opens June 12th
